Due to the sudden changes in the economy and social life employees might seek a way to provide protection or minimize the possible negative effects. In this case, moonlighting which is known as individuals’ inclination to multiple job holding might be a preferable way out and it becomes a labor market phenomenon. In most cases, the reason for moonlighting is non-pecuniary where the employee looks for an expanding network, exploring new areas or just to follow his/her interest and in some other cases it is a financial obligation owing to difficult financial situations. In this study, the influence of perceived organizational support on moonlighting inclinations is examined. The empirical study related to this study has been collected from white-collar workers working in service industry in Turkey, Istanbul. Related data is collected via electronic surveys and 171 valid questionnaire results is examined. Our research showed that when an employee has low perceived organizational support level, the moonlighting inclinations are becoming considerable high.
