Equipment control is a very important activity for national security and health. The article explores the process of customs control of medical equipment, emphasizing the importance of strict regulations to ensure the compliance and safety of imported and exported devices. National and international legislative requirements are analyzed, as well as their impact on the logistical and commercial flow of medical equipment. It also highlights the main challenges encountered in the customs verification process, such as bureaucratic delays, variations in regulations between states and the need for efficient technical and documentary verification procedures. Through a qualitative assessment and empirical experience, the article proposes modern solutions for optimizing customs control, including the digitalization of processes, the use of artificial intelligence for documentation analysis and improving collaboration between customs authorities and healthcare institutions. The implementation of such measures can contribute to reducing processing time, increasing the efficiency of controls, and ensuring safe international trade in accordance with the sanitary norms in force.
