Nuclear Dependence of CC Inclusive \(\bar{\nu }_\mu \) -A Cross Section Measurements at 6 GeV at MINERvA
摘要
Considering the demand of current and future neutrino oscillation experiments, precise determination of oscillation parameters requires the reduction of uncertainties associated with the measurement of (anti)neutrino cross sections. MINERvA detector uses differently sized nuclear targets in the same neutrino beam and detector apparatus, allowing for a direct study of nuclear medium effects, with reduced flux and detector uncertainties. Here, we present the first high statistics charged current(CC) inclusive antineutrino-nucleus two-dimensional cross-section measurements using an antineutrino beam with \(\langle E_{\bar{\nu }}\rangle ~\sim \) 6 GeV, on iron, lead, carbon and hydrocarbon targets, as a function of muon longitudinal and transverse momenta, pt and pz. These nuclei of different sizes were used to study the nuclear dependence of the cross section.
