Scalar NSI and Neutrino Mass Ordering Sensitivities in Long-Baseline \(\nu \) -Experiments

Neutrino mass and mixing cannot be explained with the Standard Model which leads to exploring frameworks beyond the Standard Model. The possibility of \(\nu 's\) interacting with fermions via a scalar mediator is one of the interesting prospects. These new interactions can modify the \(\nu \) -oscillation probabilities leading to sub-dominant effects in upcoming experiments. The effects of SNSI appear as a matter-dependent correction to the \(\nu \) -mass matrix which allows for the exploration of absolute \(\nu \) -masses via oscillation experiments. In this study, we explore the impact of SNSI on the neutrino mass ordering sensitivities at long-baseline \(\nu \) -experiments, DUNE and HK. The presence of SNSI can affect the mass ordering sensitivities of these experiments. We also study the potential synergistic effects by combining data from DUNE and HK. This approach allows for a more extensive exploration of the parameter space, potentially uncovering synergistic effects that enhance the sensitivities.
