Logarithmic Corrections to Black Hole Entropy

We discuss logarithmic corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of black holes by taking into account thermal fluctuations around the equilibrium at finite temperature. For frameworks where the cosmological constant is regarded as a thermodynamic pressure, we show that the results agree with those obtained from the holographic side. In particular, the BTZ black hole is considered for which the microscopic description of the black hole entropy rests on the Cardy formula.
