Resonant Bar Gravitational Wave Detectors in the Generalized Uncertainty Principle Framework
摘要
In this report, we study the response of a resonant bar detector of gravitational waves (GWs) in the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) framework with linear and quadratic momentum uncertainties. Our study reveals that the GUP parameters modify the energy eigenstates and the eigenvalues of these detectors. We also compute non-vanishing transition probabilities between two adjacent energy levels. The form of the transition rates is finally used to derive the upper bounds on the dimensionless GUP parameters. This presentation is based on our work [1].
