Bilic and Fabris [1] have recently fixed the horizon temperature ambiguity of planar AdS Schwarzschild black holes by relating the local temperature of planar and large AdS Schwarzschild black holes. Hence it is obvious to ask how their results get modified when the Gauss-Bonnet curvature corrections are included in the gravitational action. In this work, we build upon the ideas of Bilic and Fabris by incorporating the AdS/CFT duality to establish a connection between the local temperatures (Tolman temperatures) of a large (AdS) spherical Schwarzschild black hole and a (AdS) planar Schwarzschild black hole near the AdS boundary, while taking into account Gauss-Bonnet curvature corrections in the gravitational action.
