Since the establishment of the People's Republic of China, scholars have undertaken arduous endeavors to construct an educational theory system with distinct Chinese characteristics. This endeavor has unfolded through a process of learning from the Soviet Union initially, followed by other developed nations, while simultaneously inheriting and advancing the outstanding legacies of ancient Chinese teaching philosophies and the exemplary educational traditions of revolutionary base areas in liberated regions.
