Exploring the Parameters for Land Use Efficiency Measurement
摘要
In today’s urbanized world, land is a valuable asset. Sustainable urban growth is now hampered by the lack of available land resources. The increasing rate of urbanization necessitates an examination of land use, land use change, land use transformation, and land use efficiency. In India, urban land use faces several challenges, including the exploitation of natural resources. A methodological framework that specifies the conditions, integrated methodologies, models, classifications, an indicator system, and sequential evaluation procedures may be used to measure land-use efficiency. This study explores the issues of measuring land-use efficiency by existing methodological frameworks and focuses on the creation of measurement techniques to assess land-use efficiency based on a systems approach. We seek development for a variety of reasons, including increasing people’s income sources and connectivity to improve people’s convenience. It is the first step towards a bottom-up approach to sustainable development planning. Existing research on measuring land use efficiency and identifying its parameters to maximize its output is limited. The study’s findings demonstrate that the introduced evaluation framework can be used to apply the selected integrated research techniques in specific variations for determining land use efficiency.
