Two-Dimensional Diffraction Problem of a Floating Rectangular Box Over a Sloping Seabed
摘要
In the article, a hybrid BEM is used to solve the diffraction problem for a box above a sloping topography. An inner and outer domain matching approach is used, with the eigen expansion method in the outer domain and the BIM (Boundary Integral Method) in the inner domain. The wave exciting force applied to the box is calculated. It is found that the wave exciting force curve starts to fluctuate unevenly with the increase of horizontal length and vertical height of the uneven topography. Finally, the formation of the fluctuation is analysed in terms of the reflection coefficient of the waves. There is a phase difference between the reflected waves generated by the slope and the other wave components, and the phase difference varies drastically with wave frequency, causing uneven fluctuations in the wave exciting force curve.
