The law of smoke spread in ship fires has a significant impact on the safe evacuation of personnel. This article takes a certain type of passenger ship as a modeling prototype and uses the fire simulation software Pyrosim to analyze the smoke spread law after a fire in the restaurant and engine room. Using the personnel safety evacuation simulation software Pathfinder, the evacuation situation of personnel located on the second and third floors was evaluated for safety. The results indicated that the height of fire smoke was a key factor affecting personnel evacuation, and the research conclusions could provide important references for optimizing personnel evacuation routes.
