Responses to Extreme Heat
摘要
Climate impacts necessitate responses. Adaptive responses are actions or modifications to behaviour or environments undertaken to adapt to circumstances, such as excessive heat and other climate impacts. Responses are often based on past successes and failures, frequently leveraging local knowledge, available resources, and creativity, depending on the stimuli. Over time, the number of adaptation actions reported and studied has been increasing, at both continental and regional scales (Epule et al. 2017; Hunter et al. 2020). However, whether reported on or not, responses to climate stimuli are almost certain to take place.
