This paper presents a design method for the large array infrared detector imaging system based on FPGA. This method, which can achieve realtime imaging of large array infrared detectors on the satellites. FPGA was adopted to act as a center unit to generate timing logic signals of the large array infrared detector and control the A/D converter, etc. The image data of the large array infrared detector is coded by the imaging system and converted to the required format. The CAN bus is used to communicate with the control unit to adjust the imaging status and working mode. Blind element correction and correction methods are used to improve the imaging quality of the infrared detector. Test results show that the imaging system can realize different imaging modes and achieve better imaging effect. This system has great practical significance for the widespread application of large array infrared detector in satellite remote sensing cameras in the future.
