Although the incidence of tumors has been increasing in recent years, due to the rapid development and wide application of imaging diagnostic technology, the percentage of tumor diseases in FUO has continued to decline. The most common malignancies of FUO are lymphoma and leukemia (especially nonlymphocytic leukemia). The most classic solid tumor in FUO is renal cell carcinoma. Fever is related to the necrosis caused by the rapid growth of tumor tissue, the infiltration of tumor cells, the response of human leukocytes to tissue necrosis and other inflammatory stimuli, and the release of endogenous pyrogens from the tumor tissue itself.
