Spinal instrumentation was first performed in 1911 to treat Pott’s disease, and since then, various devices and surgical techniques have been developed and used [1]. It is difficult to distinguish and understand all devices and surgical techniques in imaging, but it is necessary to know the basic surgical devices and methods to properly diagnose postoperative complications. This chapter aims to cover the general knowledge of spinal surgical techniques and devices necessary for postoperative imaging interpretation, postoperative imaging techniques and interpretation methods, and complications.
