Paper yarn, a sustainable and innovative material, has garnered significant attention for its potential applications in the textile industry. Derived from renewable resources like cellulose or recycled paper, paper yarn offers a lightweight, biodegradable, and eco-friendly alternative to conventional fibers. This material demonstrates remarkable properties, including high tensile strength, breathability, and adaptability to knitting techniques. In this chapter, the paper yarn was prepared, dyed, and evaluated in physical properties, together with the dyeing performance. The possibilities to use hybrid yarns, i.e., a mixture of suitable percentage paper strips with other fibers, are discussed as well.

Derived from renewable resources like cellulose or recycled paper, paper yarn offers a lightweight, biodegradable, and eco-friendly alternative to conventional fibers. This material demonstrates remarkable properties, including high tensile strength, breathability, and adaptability to knitting techniques.
