Amid the increasing global emphasis on addressing climate change and ensuring energy security, modern power’s advantages of being clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient have become more pronounced. As of December 31, 2023, China’s operational modern power units rank third globally in total installed capacity, while the under-construction units rank first. Given the substantial investment required for modern power projects—approximately 45 billion Chinese yuan for two units—effective comprehensive cost management and control are imperative for the economic feasibility of these projects. This paper explores the design and development of a digital platform for comprehensive cost consulting in modern power projects, aiming to integrate and analyze cost data throughout the project lifecycle, thereby enhancing management efficiency and accuracy.
