摘要

In this chapter, possible physical and chemical statesChemical state of hydrogen (H) trapped at various locations are summarized and it is indicated that the mutual interactions of H dissolved and trapped are quite important. Although HMapping mappingH mapping is quite helpful, due to the limited range of H detection, the mapping of dissolved HDissolved H is difficult compared to that of the accumulated (trapped) one. In addition, the H mappingH mapping is a snap shot at a particular time and does not show what was before and what will be in future. A simple observation of the accumulation at a particular location in the H mappingH mapping is not necessarily correspond to H trapping and would lead to misunderstanding of H kineticsKinetics (absorptionAbsorption, desorptionDesorption, dissolutionDissolution, diffusion, trapping and permeationPermeation). Accordingly, it is concluded that repetitive and/or sequential H mapping with quantitativeH concentration H concentrationConcentration is necessary.
