Role of Histopathology in the Diagnosis of Genodermatoses
摘要
The evaluation of genodermatoses involves multiple facets, as these disorders are complex and often require a multidisciplinary approach. The diagnostic process integrates clinical, histological, genetic, and molecular methods to achieve an accurate diagnosis and inform management. Histopathological examination of skin samples, in addition to giving diagnostic clues, provides insight into understanding the pathomechanism, helps in subclassifying diseases, guides genetic testing, and assesses treatment response. When combined with advanced techniques like immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, histopathology provides a comprehensive diagnostic approach to these complex disorders.
