Autoinflammatory Disorders
摘要
Inflammatory responses against self can be viewed as a continuum, with autoinflammatory syndromes and autoimmune diseases representing opposite ends of a spectrum. Many diseases exhibit overlapping features of both categories. While autoimmune diseases typically result from acquired defects in the adaptive immune response, monogenic autoinflammatory syndromes stem from genetic defects causing hyperactivation of the innate immune system independent of specific antigens [1].
