Africa and Asia are contiguous continents. Their relations are historical. The recent formal interactions with between two continents at state level started with the Bandung conferenceBandung Conference in 1955. But, till then all Sub-Saharan Africa was colonised. However, the urge for decolonisation, solidarity and cooperation of erstwhile colonies in Africa and Asia, which formally started with Bandung, was already activated and nurtured by Afro Asian People Solidarity Organisation (AAPSO), after independence of India and Soviet Union’s drive for decolonisation of colonies in post-second world war phase.
