Poor nutrition, including factors like saturated fats and moderate meat consumption, contributes to a substantial portion of cancer cases, while certain phytochemicals in food can epigenetically reduce cancer susceptibility. Moreover, dietary components assist in the detoxification of toxins and induce cancer cells to undergo apoptosis.
