Due to their green, environmentally friendly, and resource-saving characteristics, biobased materials are gradually becoming another new leading industry that guides contemporary scientific and technological innovation and economic development. However, because of some defects such as their hard nature, poor toughness, and poor heat resistance, the appropriate modification of these emerging biobased materials is required to meet the needs of practical applications (Weng and Fu 2010). The general modification methods for polymer materials can be used to modify biobased materials, mainly include physical and chemical modification. Physical modification changes the processability of biobased materials by adding modifiers or blending with other materials, while chemical modification improves the performance of biobased materials by changing the main chain chemical or surface structure using branching, copolymerization, end group modification, surface modification, etc.

摘要
