Having had work experience as a migrant domestic worker (MDW) in Lebanon for a couple of years, Sadia (pseudonym) went to Saudi Arabia in 2016. Shortly after commencing her employment, her employer attempted to take her photograph without her consent. Perplexed, Sadia inquired about the reason for this intrusion. To her dismay, she was informed that a complaint had been lodged by her previous employer with the law enforcement agency and her current employer found this out through social media.
