This chapter explores Brazil’s geopolitical role in Latin America’s regional integration processes, highlighting its leadership in various subregional initiatives and its strategy for projecting power within the Latin American context. Throughout the chapter, it analysed how Brazil has influenced regional integration in Latin America and how it has projected its geopolitical leadership through different cooperation mechanisms. The methodology employed combines a qualitative and geopolitical analysis based on the concept of “concentric circles” to understand how Brazil organises its foreign priorities. This approach is complemented by an analysis of the main regional integration mechanisms in which Brazil has played a central role. The chapter is organised into five sections: the first addresses Brazil’s leadership in regional integration in the Southern Cone of South America; the second, its participation in Amazon cooperation; the third, its role in South American integration; the fourth, its rapprochement with CARICOM and its commitments to Caribbean integration; and the fifth, its position within the community of Latin American and Caribbean states as a key forum for Latin American and Caribbean cooperation. Through this analysis, the chapter demonstrates how Brazil has managed to consolidate its geopolitical influence and project a model of regional leadership, despite the challenges posed by internal asymmetries and variations in the political contexts of member countries. Thus, the importance of this work lies in its focus on Brazilian geopolitics, providing a comprehensive analysis of how Brazil uses regional integration not only as a tool for development but also as a means of consolidating its position as a regional power in a multipolar international order.
