The Bioceanic Corridor, by connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, promises to reshape regional integration dynamics in South America, influencing trade routes, transcontinental logistics, and geopolitical relations. While this project represents an opportunity to deepen regional cohesion through strategic partnerships and greater economic interdependence among countries such as Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile, it also faces significant challenges. These include existing economic and political asymmetries, the need for efficient logistical coordination, and pressures exerted by extraregional actors such as China and the United States, whose strategic interests may shape the realisation of the Corridor’s potential benefits. Thus, this study aims to analyse the influence of the Bioceanic Corridor on South America’s regional integration dynamics. We intend to answer the following question: How could the Bioceanic Corridor influence South America’s regional integration dynamics? To achieve the proposed objective, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was performed. Data from 51 scientific studies were analysed using Lexical Analysis and Content Analysis. Our findings include the development of a hypothetical model with seven hypotheses to assess the effectiveness of the Bioceanic Corridor and its potential influence on the dynamics of regional integration in South America.
