Optical Properties of 1D and 2D Periodic Structures Based on Metamaterials and Dielectrics
摘要
In this work, we present a theoretical study of the finite difference method in the time domain (FDTD); the principle of this method is the discretization of the MAXWELL equations in the time domain, the stability criterion linking the spatial step and the step time, boundary conditions and the principle of PML type absorbent layers. This mathematical approach will be devoted to metamaterials and their behavior like a perfect lens. Our work uses the simulation of 1D and 2D periodic structures based on metamaterials and dielectrics using the FDTD method. The 1D and 2D simulations are performed using MATLAB code that allows us to analyze and observe the behavior of waves in the metamaterials and dielectric layers.
