Pangasius (Pangasiidae) is one of the most economically important fish commodities in Southeast Asia, with a total production of more than 2.1 million tons in 2015, and its production has continued to increase in recent years (Subasinghe, 2017). Indonesia became the third largest pangasius producer in the world, producing 408,539 tons in 2020 (KKP, 2021). The largest cultivation centers of pangasius are dominated by Sumatra (68.07%), Kalimantan (20.23%), and Java (8.48%) islands, and also distributed to some other areas in the country (KKP, 2018).
