The sorption behavior of β-cyclodextrion modified zeolite (ECDMZ) and natural zeolite (NZ) for Ni2+/Cu2+ was studied. The experimental results showed that the sorption capacity of Ni2+/Cu2+ in ECDMZ was significantly improved compared with NZ. The sorption capacity of ECDMZ showed an increasing trend with the increase of the concentration of Ni2+/Cu2+. At about 120 min, the sorption equilibrium was reached. Sorption data were separately studied using adsorption isotherms and kinetics models for investigating the mechanism of sorption. The sorption process was better fitted by the Langmuir isotherm than the Freundlich. It was indicated that the sorption was mainly monolayer and chemisorption. Good correlation coefficients of the second-order kinetic model were obtained. It was confirmed that the sorption rate was mainly controlled by chemisorption.

摘要
