Generative Artificial Intelligence has brought a huge impact on architectural design. Architectural analysis and generative concepts together present a new opportunity to apply generative AI techniques at the early design period. This work reviews research on generative AI applied in architectural design to enhance the understanding of architectural advancement. Several challenges arise while doing such generation such as, building a knowledge graph, “Black-Box” Issue, computation limitation. In this paper, we present an intuitive review about such possibilities for generative AI in architectural design. Indeed, we provide innovative directions for generative design in the future.
