Climate change threatens all forms of life, including the tangible and intangible elements of cultural heritage. The interplay between climate change and cultural heritage is a two-way process. While climate change causes irreplaceable losses to the epitomes of our cultural roots, tangible and intangible cultural heritage serves as a valuable resource for communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from climate-change-induced emergencies. At the crux of the climate change, crises are the lives of the indigenous communities marred by livelihood loss and forced migration, further paving the way for complex public health challenges. This chapter revisits the latent rhythmic line linking climate change, cultural heritage, and public health through the lens of the lives of indigenous communities in India. It presents the existing challenges and opportunities for climate change research in the Indian context.

摘要
