Environmental hazards and climate change are becoming increasingly prevalent. Air pollution is a significant factor that contributes to the escalation of environmental issues. Emissions from transport are a major contributor to polluted air. With India being the largest market for three-wheelers, the emissions are also very high. One potential solution to reduce air pollution from automobiles is the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs). Despite being on the market, three-wheeler electric vehicles are still not being extensively purchased by consumers. This study reviews the available articles on three-wheeler EV adoption. The charging infrastructure, range, battery anxiety, acceleration, cost, social norms, subsidies, etc., are the major factors identified in the review. Being three-wheelers, subsidies and taxes can play a major role in vehicle adoption and should be studied in detail. The proper identification of factors influencing adoption can help manufacturers and marketers concentrate more on it.
