Carbon emissions are a significant driver of climate change and have various side effects on the environment and human health. Reducing carbon emissions will both preserve public health and lessen the effects of climate change. India is committed to achieving net zero by 2070 as stated in COP26. It has been noted that India is still looking into coal mines to meet its electricity needs using antiquated technology, despite the negative effects of carbon emissions on society and the environment. This study uses the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique to investigate and analyze the barriers in implementing net zero in the coal supply chain. For this study, primary data were gathered from experts employed in coal subsidiaries. The study’s findings give priority to barriers that need to be focused on to mitigate carbon emissions.

摘要
