Digitalization in Industrial Logistics: Contemporary Evidence and Future Directions—Indian Context
摘要
The digitalization of industrial logistics in India is crucial for improving efficiency, cutting costs, and streamlining supply chain operations to propel the country towards becoming a super economy. Despite advancements in technology up to Industry 5.0, the logistics sector in India, dominated by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), lags behind at Logistics 4.0. This paper assesses both current state and future prospects of digital technologies in logistics, while also pinpointing the obstacles hindering their implementation in industries. To achieve this, a survey of logistics professionals in various industries was conducted to gauge the present condition of logistics in India and identify forthcoming challenges. The collected data underwent thorough analysis like Cronbach Alpha, Chi-squared, and Hypotheses tests, to draw conclusions. Embracing digitalization is imperative for fostering a more efficient, resilient, and digitally-driven logistics sector in India, ultimately providing a blueprint for sustainable development and harnessing the transformative potential of digitalization.
