This paper presents the implementation of a digital twin (DT) for a warehouse prototype, aiming to optimise operations and overcome challenges faced in conventional facilities. A virtual warehouse and a physical prototype were developed and integrated through sensors and software. Real-time data obtained from the sensors enabled tracking orders, identifying errors, analysing storage efficiency, and optimising dispatch planning. The DT system demonstrated potential in enhancing visibility, minimising disruptions, improving resource allocation, and enabling competitive advantage through efficient supply chain management practices.

摘要

This paper presents the implementation of a digital twin (DT) for a warehouse prototype, aiming to optimise operations and overcome challenges faced in conventional facilities. A virtual warehouse and a physical prototype were developed and integrated through sensors and software. Real-time data obtained from the sensors enabled tracking orders, identifying errors, analysing storage efficiency, and optimising dispatch planning. The DT system demonstrated potential in enhancing visibility, minimising disruptions, improving resource allocation, and enabling competitive advantage through efficient supply chain management practices.
