Industry Sound
摘要
This chapter explores a critical application domain of audio signal processing that plays a vital role in industrial safety, equipment maintenance, production efficiency, and quality control across various sectors. This chapter establishes a strong connection with the “Anomalous Sound Detection” chapter, emphasizing how acoustic monitoring serves as an early warning system for detecting equipment malfunctions and safety hazards in industrial environments. The chapter examines two major application contexts: acoustic monitoring technology in power systems, spanning generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure; and anomalous sound detection in manufacturing environments, covering machine condition monitoring, quality inspection processes, and human safety surveillance systems. Despite its promising applications, industrial sound analysis still faces significant practical challenges including scarcity of anomalous data samples and complex environmental interference, with this chapter aiming to advance research and development in this crucial field.
