In the present era, mobile phones are no longer limited to calling and connecting people but play a pivotal role in the social and emotional world of all ages. After Covid-19 pandemic the importance of mental health is far more in focus than ever before, and people are putting in their efforts to take care of their emotional wellbeing. Mobile apps related to emotional wellbeing and mental health are used to a great extent. Though these apps may be useful, it is also considered risky if they are not scientifically backed in terms of their content and methods of dealing with clients suffering from severe mental disorders. This chapter presents the results of the analyses of some of the commonly used apps available for emotional wellbeing and dealing with mental health issues. The results reported are based on the examining and analysing the major features of some of the selected mental health apps, which revealed that quite a few of them are vague and do not clearly inform the users/clients about the usage and risk management. These apps are good for emotional wellbeing but may cause risk to people suffering from severe mental disorders. Thus the AI-generated chat box and mental health interventions through apps are yet to be improved upon and made more reliable and trustworthy for larger number of patients/clients and all those who need psychological help to use.
