Determinants of International Financial Centres I: Geography of Finance, Information Hinterland and Heartland

The geography of finance has emerged as a thriving sub-discipline in regional economics and economic geography since the 1980s. The discipline is attempting to formulate a comprehensive synthesis encompassing the full range of financial geographies, including local monetary flows, the spatial analysis of finance at regional and national levels, and most recently, the global monetary system.
