Hydrogels Against Wound Causing Opportunistic Pathogens
摘要
In spite of modern developments in the area of health care and biomedical field, different infectious wound causing by pathogens became a major public health problems which directly affect our socio-economic status. Wounds are sometimes fatal because of multidrug-resistant bacterial infections. One productive and effective alternate way free from the resistant mechanisms is immediately desired. Hydrogels are soft three-dimensional insoluble crosslinking polymer structure that can absorb a lot of water and provide a favourable environment for cell growth. It also provide necessary nutrition and oxygen supply to the cell and fight against different wound causing pathogens. This studies focuses on advances of using modern hydrogels against different skin wound infection causing bacteria. In that regard, a precise introduction on skin wound healing and smart approaches of hydrogels are presented in their allied sections. These review studies can open the door to produce a new biomaterials against wound causing bacteria with therapeutic uses.
