Modelling of Multi-area Deregulated LFC Microgrid Based on Renewable Energy Sources

摘要

In this article, a fuzzy controller in cascade with Fractional Order Proportional-Integral-Derivative controller with filter (FOPIλDN) is proposed. Sea-horse Optimization Algorithm (SHO) is applied in it and used to obtain ideal setting of proposed controller. The suggested controller is comparing with existing controllers. The studied hybrid system contains thermal systems, biogas plants, and Distributed Generation (DG). To achieve the realistic approach, non-linearities such as Boiler Dynamics (BD), Governor Dead Band (GDB), and Generation Rate Constraint (GRC) are investigated in the suggested system. The effect of solar and wind is studied after penetrated into the LFC multi-area power system. The study demonstrates that the system response improves in the presence of renewable energy sources in a deregulated environment. The stability analysis is performed on bode plot by varying system parameter which proves robustness of proposed controller and proposed algorithm.
