LoRa-Enabled Smart Street Lighting for Enhanced Energy Efficiency
摘要
Street lighting plays a crucial role in urban infrastructure, but traditional systems often lead to unnecessary energy consumption due to manual operation. This chapter presents the design and implementation of a LoRa-enabled smart street lighting system aimed at improving energy efficiency through automation. By incorporating light-dependent resistors (LDRs) and a suite of sensors, the system automatically adjusts lighting based on ambient conditions, significantly reducing energy wastage. The proposed solution is cost-effective and sustainable, offering a modern approach to public lighting infrastructure while contributing to environmental goals. Experimental results highlight the system’s effectiveness in achieving considerable energy savings while maintaining sufficient illumination for public safety and convenience.
