Open-source projects can benefit the development of AI research, as they facilitate the communicating of insights and the implementation of further improvements. This chapter introduces the open-source projects for AI-based point cloud coding. It is structured as follows. First, it provides a brief introduction of the open-source libraries for popular 3D point cloud coding algorithms, including Point Cloud Library and Draco. Second, it provides the introduction to the emerging open-source project, i.e., OpenPointCloudOpenPointCloud, which is an open-source algorithm library that focuses on deep learning-based point cloud coding and processing algorithms.
