This chapter is aimed at Class IVb of Yang’s new classification, that is, mandibular diseases in which the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) (namely, the condyle) can be preserved. This preservation calls for careful surgical planning and the customized design of a prosthesis, as will be discussed in this chapter.
