Prosthetic Reconstruction of Combined Temporomandibular TMJ-Skull Base Diseases
摘要
This chapter addresses Class IIIa of Yang’s new classification, which deals with combined temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and skull base diseases affecting the skull base and the joints and involving the ear canals and infratemporal fossa. This Class IIIa covers cases in which the condyle cannot be preserved, and it falls under the larger category of complexes involving the upward connections of the articular joint.
