Total Joint Replacement with Simultaneous Orthognathic Surgery for Dentofacial Deformities Secondary to TMJ Diseases
摘要
This chapter addresses Class IIa of Yang’s modified classification, i.e., Class II encompasses dentofacial deformities secondary to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) diseases, and within this, Class IIa covers only those cases where the condyle is non-salvageable. These cases require a combination of joint replacement, orthognathic surgery, and orthodontics for successful reconstruction.
