Improvement of Service Quality Dimensions in the Medical Tourism Industry

The paper explores the landscape of medical tourism in Thiruvananthapuram, aiming to understand its complexities and suggest ways to improve it. Through the identification of factors affecting service quality and conducting factor analysis, the study reveals connections between different variables. It highlights five crucial factors: Patient Satisfaction with Medical Care, hospital infrastructure and amenities, transparency and affordability of costs, marketing and attracting patients, and the qualifications of staff. These factors position Trivandrum hospitals well, providing information on areas that could be improved to satisfy medical tourists’ shifting goals and requirements while upholding good service standards. By improving service quality, accessibility, convenience, and patient satisfaction, this research contributes to refining Thiruvananthapuram’s medical tourism industry. Ultimately, the paper acts as a guide for stakeholders navigating this growing field, promoting sustainable development and a reputation for excellence in healthcare delivery.
