Warehouses play an important role in effective supply chain network. Due to growth in e-commerce business in India, the number of warehouses construction was growing rapidly and transshipment operations during the product delivery are going at rapid manner. Due to speedy shipment and quick commerce activities, safety aspects are becoming question mark in many warehouses. In most of the warehouse’s professional safety officers as well as trained safety, manpower is less available in the market. The working people in warehouses are also not giving priority for daily safety procedures. It results in several accidents in many warehouses and it is not coming into limelight, many are ignoring them. The current research aimed in safety associated problems, measures needed in respect of workplace safety, work safety and fire safety in different layout-oriented warehouses. The methodological approach for improving the safety in different warehouses are listed out with some steps. Then the possibility of risk identification, hazards posed by various equipment used in warehouse risk assessment, preventive and corrective measures needed at different levels to improve the system will be suggested at the end.
