Analysing the Effect of Job Stress and Road Blackspots on Driving Among Food Delivery Riders
摘要
The surge in online food delivery services has led to a rise in the number of motorcycle riders engaged in food delivery, raising safety concerns. Job stressors like overload and time pressure can lead to risky driving behaviours. The current study takes a case of Trivandrum district and examines the relationship between job stress, road blackspots, and driving behaviours among food delivery riders. The data is gathered through primary survey and interviews and modelling is done using ISM to identify the factors affecting the driving behaviour. The findings can inform policymakers and delivery platforms on safety measures. By pinpointing sources of stress and risky road areas, targeted interventions can be implemented to improve rider safety and road safety in Trivandrum.
