Financial Governance: A Roadmap for Economic and Environmental Sustainability
摘要
One way to guarantee that financial flows are compatible with resilience to climate and low-carbon growth is to reform financial institutions. Creating sustainable financial plans is a common initial step in this direction. The study interviews important Indian stakeholders to analyze the progress in implementing Indonesia’s sustainable finance plan in 2019 and 2020. Based on their yearly sustainability assessments and commitment to producing financially sustainable strategies, the research concludes that financial institutions are highly compliant with the relevant procedures. However, there is a lot of variance and ambiguity in how financial companies define what counts as a “green” initiative, allowing specific financial organizations to participate in nothing more than symbolic gestures. The methods to encourage financial companies to take additional action and achieve accurate sustainability outcomes through existing regulatory oversight are still under consideration. More action to encourage climate financing by India’s central bank is one solution this study offers for conquering barriers to the roadmap’s adoption.
