Sustainable finance (SF) has established itself as a distinct topic of research in finance. As the concern about environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues is growing, investors are encouraging companies to act more sensibly, which has sparked a surge toward more research and publishing in this field. Although a variety of literature is available in this field, still there is a necessity for comprehensive work to understand the development of this field—where we have reached and what we need to do next. This paper tries to conduct a logical literature review with the help of SPAR-4-SLR to understand the development of sustainable finance and its sub-fields. The study deconstructs the most significant papers, top contributing journals, authors, and nations for conducting research in the sustainable finance field. The study comes out with several themes of sustainable finance outcome-based research. Thus, this study proposes several suggestions for the future development of this field.

摘要
